Richelieu Rock is one of Thailand's most famous dive sites and a major destination for divers from around the world. The underwater rock formation consists of several rock peaks that protrude near the surface, while the area around the rock is teeming with soft corals, sponges, and numerous small marine creatures. Highlights include high marine biodiversity and particularly famous whale shark sightings. It is also ideal for macro photography, as many small creatures hide among the coral and rock crevices.
